- AMENDMENT No. 1 CC-MEVE001-15 This notice updates the prospectus issued by the National Park Service (Service) on December 9, 2013. Please note that Amendment No. 1 reflects a significant change to the business opportunity that should be noted by all potential offerors. The Service intends to pay the Existing Concessioner $4,026,234 to buy down the Possessory Interest (PI), which reduces the PI from $7,600,000 to $3,573,766. This buy down also reduces the estimated Initial Investment from $7,119,211 to $5,098,066. The change in the estimated Initial Investment requires various amendments throughout the prospectus reflected below. In consideration of this significant change to the business opportunity, the deadline for proposals has been extended to Wednesday, April 2, 2014. Replace with: The initial Leasehold Surrender Interest value for the MEVE001-15 will be $3,573,766. 8) Business Opportunity, page 28, Franchise Fee Delete: The minimum franchise fee is four percent (4.0%) of annual gross receipts as defined in Sec. 2 of the Draft Contract. Replace with: The minimum franchise fee is six and five-tenths percent (6.5%) of annual gross receipts as defined in Sec. 2 of the Draft Contract. 9) Proposal Package, Part A, page 5, Principal Selection Factor 5 Delete: The Offeror agrees to at least the minimum franchise fee of four percent (4%) of annual gross receipts. Replace with: The Offeror agrees to at least the minimum franchise fee of six and five-tenths percent (6.5%) of annual gross receipts. 10) Proposal Package, Part B, page 17, Principal Selection Factor 5 Delete: The minimum franchise fee acceptable to the Service is four percent (4%) of gross receipts. Replace with: The minimum franchise fee acceptable to the Service is six and five-tenths percent (6.5%) of gross receipts.   11) Appendix Files, Appendix 10 Proposal Package (Word) Delete: Appendix 10 Proposal Package (Word) Replace with: Updated version of Proposal Package in Word that reflects all changes described in this amendment.
