- Responses to Questions MEVE001 Below please find the National Park Service's (NPS's) responses to the questions submitted by the January 10, 2014, deadline, in regard to the Prospectus for a Concession Business Opportunity to provide lodging, retail, food and beverage, and other services (CC-MEVE001-15) at Mesa Verde National Park. Please note all potential Offerors should read the questions and responses, as there is information that may be of assistance in preparing a proposal to the solicitation. FMSS Asset Code FMSS Description Heating system types 46073 (HQ) Spruce Tree Terrace Concession (307) (HQ) Spruce Tree Terrace Concession - Food Srvc Addition HVAC is provided by a roof mounted package unit that uses LP gas to provide heat, two evaporative coolers, and electric baseboard heaters in the office and seating area. The heating and cooling control systems are electric. There are two roof mounted exhaust fans and a roof mounted utility fan. Water is heated by a tankless LP gas water heater. 51236 (MF) Morefield Cmpgrnd Concession Lndry & Shwr 801 The heating system is provided by electric wall heaters and suspended unit heaters. There is no cooling system in the building. Hot water generation in this building is by a gas powered water heater. 51243 (MF) Morefield Concession Service Station 802 The heating system is provided by electric wall heaters and suspended unit heaters. There is no cooling system in the building. Hot water generation is provided by the laundry building 51246 (MF) Morefield Concession Retail Store 800 A portion of the heating system is provided by electric wall heaters and suspended unit heaters. The remainder of the heating is provided by a gas powered package unit that also provides the building's cooling system. Hot water is generated by an electric water heater. 51252 (FV) Far View Terrace Concession 601 The heating system is provided by forced air furnaces that are powered by electricity or LP - gas and electric unit heaters. The building is cooled with window units and evaporative coolers. The heating and cooling control systems are electric. Hot water is generated by an electric water heater 51254 (FV) Far View Concession Women's Dormitory Heat is provided by electric baseboard and unit heaters throughout the facility. The building has no cooling system except for a window unit in the lounge. Hot water is generated by an LP gas water heater. 51294 (MF) Zuni Loop Comfort Station 107 Heating is provided by an electric wall mounted unit heater in the pipe space and two suspended mount electric heaters in the men's and women's restroom. Information provided by the existing concessioners annual compliance report states: There are (2) - 6,000 gallon tanks at Morefield service station. One is unleaded and one is diesel. They were installed in 1999. They are single wall, steel tanks with galvanic anodes. They have fiberglass reinforced plastic piping. 3.
