- THIS IS A SYNOPSIS NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation, request for quote, or proposal and no contract will be awarded from this notice. There is no solicitation, specifications or drawings available at this time. Military Sealift Command Norfolk intends to issue a solicitation on/about 12 February 2014 for the Self Contained Breathing Apparatus's (SCBA's) and spare SCBA Cylinders and valve assemblies for the USNS SUPPLY, T-AOE 6. D ocumentation that the manufacturer is self-certifying that all OEM parts and supplies in order to maintain the SCBAs compliant with the particular version of NFPA 1981 will be available for a minimum of the 15 year life cycle of the cylinders. Parts are requested to be delivered within 30-40 days after award. After issuance, the solicitation and supporting documents will be made available on the Federal Business Opportunities website https://www.fbo.gov. The appropriate NAICS Code is 333999 with a standard size of 500. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE OR PROPOSAL. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this synopsis. There are NO RESPONSES due based on this pre-solicitation notice.
