- Utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures, USCG Base Boston seeks competent contractor to prep and paint 24 government owned apartments located at USCG Sector NEw YOrk, Staten Island NY 10305. Contractor will be required to prep and paint all previously painted interior surfaces including all walls, ceilings, closets (inside and out including shelves), doors, windows, and trims etc. Work is covered under DAvis Bacon Act and its related regulations. Prevailing wages must be paid and certified payrolls will be required to be submitted to the Contracting Officer. The painting of the government owned apartments will occur on an irregular basis over the next 6-9 months. There may be several weeks delay between painting apartments. Contractor may be required to paint several apartments at one time and shall begin painting within 24 hours of notification that an apartment is available. Contractor completion times : 2 bedroom apt =2 days; 3,4,5 bedroom apt=3 days. Completion times are indpendent of each other for scheduling purposes. Site Visit: 1000 local EST on 12 FEb 2014 Assemble at USCG Sector New York, 311 Battery Road, Staten ISland NY 10305 with photo ID for site visit. Complete solicitation --Request for Quote--including scope of work, specifications, quote sheet, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clauses, and DOL Davis Bacon Act Act wage determination will be available for downloading on or about 7 FEB 2014 by downloading from WWW.FBO.GOV using HSCG24-14-Q-PGF043. The estimated value of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. Solicitation and award are 100% Small Business Set Aside. FAR 52.228-13 Alternative Payment Protection JUL 2000 will also be included in the solicitation. Note: FAR 52.232-18 Availability of Funds applies to this solicitation. Subject to the availability of Funds FAR 52.232-18 Availability of Funds (APR 1984) Funds are not presently available for this contract. The Government's obligation under this contract is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contract purposes can be made. No legal liability on the part of Government for any payment may arise until funds are made available to the COntracting Officer for this contract and until the contractor receives notice of such availability to be confirmed in in writing by the Contracting Officer.
