- This is a pre-solicitation synopsis for the Army Contracting Command - Rock Island (ACC-RI, CCRC-IJ) for solicitation W9098S-14-T-0104, which serves as notification to industry of the procurement of one (1) 4-post part manipulator in support of Rock Island Arsenal - Joint Manufacturing & Technology Center (RIA-JMTC) new 16 kilo-Joule (kj) forging cell. The anticipated date for contract award is on/about 04 April 2014. The Manipulator shall be a 4-post gantry style load bearing part manipulator. The manipulator shall be able to move billets and forged parts between the RIA-JMTC's new forging hammer, two billet furnaces, and a trim press all located near each area. The manipulator shall be able to reach all areas and be able to place parts from floor level to at least 60-inches above floor level. Contractors are expected to provide all labor and materials to install the manipulator. The proposed action is for a firm fixed price contract. The proposed action is 100% Small Business Set Aside. The NAICS code for this procurement is 333923 (Overhead Traveling Crane, Hoist, and Monorail System Manufacturing) Hard copies of the RIPD and solicitation will not be issued.
