Description
The Fleet Logistic Center, Norfolk Contracting Department, Groton Office request response from qualified sources capable of providing Preventive Maintenance and Repair of Oil Spill Recovery Boats at Naval Weapons Station, Earle, NJ in accordance with the Performance Work Statement included in the solicitation. This is a synopsis for commercial services prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6 (Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items), using Simplified Acquisition Procedures for Commercial items found at FAR Part 13 and Subpart 13.5 (Test Program for Certain Commercial Items) as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This synopsis shall be posted on both the FEDBIZOPS and NECO website (https://www.neco.navy.mil). The Request for Quote (RFQ) number is N00189-14-T-G037. The NAICS code is 811310 “Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (Except Automotive and Electronic Repair and Maintenance), and the small business standard is $7.0 Million. This is a Total Small Business Set-Aside (SBSA) competitive action. Quotes by other contractors will not be considered. The proposed contract will be a Firm Fixed Price Commercial type contract. Questions regarding technical or contractual issues must be addressed to the Contract Specialist via email only (Rhonda.nielsen@navy.mil). This RFQ will incorporate provisions and clauses in effect through FAR and DFARS. It is the contractors responsibility to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. Lack of registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) database (www.sam.gov) will make a contractor ineligible for award. The government anticipates release of the RFQ towards the end of February 2014.
