- This is a sources sought notice only and it is not a solicitation announcement. The purpose of this sources sought notice is to gain knowledge of qualified potential contractors and their socio-economic size classification in accordance with NAICS code 561410. Responses will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After a review of the responses to this sources sought notice, a solicitation announcement may be posted to FedBizOpps. A response to this sources sought notice is not an adequate reply to the forthcoming solicitation. The VA Health Care System located in Des Moines, IA; Omaha, NE; and Sioux Falls, SD is seeking qualified potential contractors to provide medical transcription services to include traditional and speech recognition, correction editing transcription services. The contractor must provide transcription services utilizing the VA-owned dictation system Dictaphone Enterprise Express System by electronically accessing or downloading VA's digital dictation voice files while meeting VA information security requirements. The vendor is not to subcontract work to another transcription firm without prior VA approval. The contractor shall provide all resources necessary to provide transcription services, including but not limited to, personnel, hardware, software, applicable dictation equipment and transcribers, utilities, references, supplies, materials, equipment, telephone lines, internet connectivity, and labor, to perform the work. Transcription services shall be performed by the contractor 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year and in accordance with prescribed turnaround times. To respond to this sources sought notice, please complete the attached document titled "Sources Sought Notice" and return per the included instructions. The closing date and time of this sources sought notice is February 20, 2014 at 4:30 PM CST. This is not a solicitation and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. Additionally, a response to this sources sought notice is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation.
