- SCOPE OF WORK The United States Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Centers, Long Range Enforcer - Contracts & Procurement Branch 2, Oakland, CA anticipates awarding SOLE SOURCE procurement to InterOcean for service; To restore the two Oceanographic and one Trawl Core Winch on the USCG POLAR STAR, the cutter will be undergoing a major maintenance availability 16APR14 thru 24JUN14 at a dry-dock facility to be determined on the west coast. The contractor will need to make arrangements to repair the science winch system during this period of performance. Required completion date is 10JUN14. Period of Performance is: 16APR2014 - 10JUN2014 USCGC POLAR STAR is a 420' ice breaking cutter. Vendor will provide all labor and parts listed in the Schedule. NAICS Code #336611 applies to this procurement. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. No solicitation will be issued, however all responses received on/before 0800 AM PST 10 MARCH 2014 will be reviewed by the Government. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.
