- The Forest Service contemplates issuing solicitation AG-0116-S-14-0001 to establish pre-commercial thinning multiple award indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity contracts. The resulting contracts will be for one base year with two optional years for a total of three years. Contracting method is negotiated request for proposal. The purpose is to secure services for pre-commercial thinning conifer reproduction, approximately 23 to 39 years old. The Contractor must furnish all labor, equipment, housing, subsistence, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals. This work is generally done with chainsaws. Anticipated dates: Solicitation posting, 14Feb2014 Solicitation closing, 7Mar2014 Contract award, 21Mar2014 Contractors must provide with offer: a- A valid Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Workers Protection Act (MSPA) registration number. b- Documentation affirming capability to obtain Worker's Compensation Insurance. The USDA is an equal opportunity employer. This information will be used to formalize a set-aside decision, not contemplated to be total small business.
