- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 20, is soliciting proposals for a contractor to provide construction services for Project # 531-320, ICU, 3rd Floor Bldg. 67. The proposed action is for a contractor to provide all supervision, labor, materials, equipment, and all services necessary to construct approximately 7,500 new gross square feet (GSF) attached to Building 67, three floors with approximately 2,500 GSF per floor. The contractor shall renovate approximately 14,325 GSF within Building 67, primarily on the second and third floors; provide individual patient bedrooms for MERSA isolation and HIPAA privacy for the third floor Step Down Unit; provide safe mental health rooms for intensive psychiatric care that meet current criteria on the second floor; and provide police and medical service space on the first floor. Work is to be performed at Boise VA Medical Center, Boise, Idaho. A complete performance work statement, specifications and drawings will be included in the solicitation. The solicitation will result in the award to a single contractor of a firm-fixed price contract. This procurement is 100% set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns. The Request for Proposal (RFP) number is VA260-14-R-0050. The applicable NAICS code is 236220 and the small business size standard is $33.5 million. Cost magnitude is between $5 million and $10 million. Telephonic requests for the solicitation will not be honored. When issued, the solicitation will be available via the Fed Biz Opps website, http://www.fbo.gov. Prospective offerors are urged to attend the site visit, date and time to be identified in the solicitation and shall ensure registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) database (https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/#1 ) and at the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) (https://orca.bpn.gov ). Offerors claiming Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) status (CVE certified SDVOSB) shall be registered in VetBiz (www.vetbiz.gov ) prior to submission of offer. Companies who are not registered and/or not approved in VetBiz database as CVE certified SDVOSB will not be considered.
