Description
THIS IS A FULL AND OPEN COMPETITIVE ACQUISITION. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for Environmental Health (NCEH), Air Pollution and Respiratory Health Branch (APRHB) intends to solicit and award a firm-fixed-price contract, in accordance with FAR Part 15 - Contracting by Negotiation, for the acquisition of the effort entitled, "Reducing Mold and Dampness in Buildings." The purpose of this acquisition is to review existing public health science on exposures for linking mold and dampness to respiratory health effects; estimating the current extent of mold and dampness problems in buildings, and estimating the magnitude of the current burden of human disease linked to mold and dampness. Furthermore the contractor shall compile in detail and analyze key state and local laws including building codes that address prevention and also remediation of mold and dampness in schools and homes in two states: New York and New Jersey, which were affected by Hurricane Sandy. The NAICS code for this procurement is 541620, Environmental Consulting Services with a size standard of $14M. The anticipated period of performance shall be 12 months from date of contract award. Prospective offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible for award. CDC estimates release of a solicitation on or about March 3, 2014 with an estimated proposal due date of April 3, 2014. The CDC intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for these services. Solicitation number 2014-N-15772 will be posted on the Government wide Point of Entry (GPE) at www.fedbizopps.gov on or about March 3, 2014. All responsible sources must submit a proposal in accordance with the released solicitation, which shall be considered by the agency if received on or before the designated due date stated within the solicitation. Interested parties should contact Liubov A. Kriel, the CDC Point of Contact for this notice via email: at vyh1@cdc.gov no-later-than 2:30 PM on March 1, 2014 to confirm their intent to submit a proposal. Please be advised the Government will not maintain a bidder's list for this procurement. Therefore interested parties are responsible for periodically monitoring www.fedbizopps.gov for the corresponding solicitation and subsequent amendments.
