- This is NOT a solicitation announcement. This is a request for information only. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classifications (Service Disabled Veteran-Owned, Veteran-Owned Small Business, 8(a), Hubzone, Small, Small Disadvantaged, Woman Owned Small Business and Large Business) relative to NAICS code 811219 (size standard of $19.0 M). Responses to this request for information synopsis will be used by the government to make appropriate Acquisition decisions. Responses to this sources sought shall NEITHER constitute responses to a solicitation which is not currently available NOR a request to be added to a prospective bidders list to receive a copy of the solicitation. The decision to solicit for a contract shall be solely the Government's discretion. The Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center is seeking information for potential company to provide preventive maintenance to include calibration services for its MedRad Stellant Injection System. Additionally, there is a need for the company to provide MedRad proprietary and copyrighted software, updates, repairs, and parts in order to sustain a fully operational system in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. The specific equipment includes 1. CT Model DCB-SCTD and 2. OCS III Portegra 2. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE AN AUTHORIZED FACTORY TRAINED SERVICE PROVIDER FOR THE SPECIFIED MEDRAD EQUIPMENT. THE IDEAL VENDOR SHOULD HAVE FIELD SERVICE REPRESENTATIVES AUTHORIZED AND LICENSED TO USE MEDRAD PROPRIETARY AND COPYRIGHTED SOFTWARE IN ORDER TO PROVIDE THE NECESSARY PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE. Sources interested in this notice shall submit the following: 1. Company name, address, point of contact, email address and DUNS. 2. Brief introduction to your company 3. Proof or documentation of authorized and licensed Field Service Rep status. 4. Business size 5. If a Small Business: Indicate your SBA Size Classification This is not a request for proposals or request for quotes and in no way obligates the government to award any contract. Responses to this notice shall be in writing by e-mail addressed to tony.jackson@va.gov. All responses must be received in writing no later than 10:00 AM. Local time on February 24, 2014. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Firms responding to this announcement, which fail to provide all of the required information, cannot be used to help the government make the acquisition decisions, which is the intent of this synopsis. This notice is to help the VA Medical Center in determining potential sources only. No solicitation is currently available. All firms responding to this request for information notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request to be considered for a contract award.
