Description
Notice containing product data. SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS: 1. NOTICE: This is not a solicitation but rather a Sources Sought Synopsis to determine potential sources for information and planning purposes only. 1.1 The purpose of this Sources Sought is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive and/or a total Small Business Set-Aside. The proposed North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 336419 which has a corresponding Size standard of 1000. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. The Government is interested in all small businesses to include 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran Owned, Hubzone, and Women-Owned small business concerns. The government requests that interested parties respond to this notice if applicable and identify your small business status to the identified NAICS code. Additionally, please provide any anticipated teaming arrangements, along with a description of similar services offered to the Government and to commercial customers for the past three years. Any responses involving teaming agreements should delineate between the work that will be accomplished by the prime and the work accomplished by the teaming partners. 2. Program Details: This market research is being conducted to identify potential sources for the manufacturing of AMRAAM missile containers CNU-431/572/463 and 464 and components. This will be a build to print manufacturing effort for 626 containers. For specifics on each container and its purpose, see attachment A. Containers are used for All UP Round (AUR) missile and components during transportation to and from the flight line. There will be no repair requirement as these items are field level repairable and there are no life cycle costs associated with this effort. The Department of the Air Force Logistics Life Cycle Management Command, AFLCMC/EBHGB, Hill AFB is conducting a market survey for Engineering Service and Manufacture of these containers. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this sources sought. Any information submitted by respondents to this notice is strictly voluntary. Questions relative to this market survey should be addressed to Captain Robert Hale (801) 775-3298. All responses to this Sources Sought Synopsis must be submitted to the point of contact listed above. This does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that procurement will be accomplished and is not a request for proposal or invitation for bid. Responding to this notice in no manner guarantees a contract will be awarded. 3. Background: This material buy contract is to support an independent but related contracting effort to provide All Up Round & Captive Air Training Missiles (CATM's) containers to Foreign Military Sales and USAF customers as their needs for are identified and confirmed. New containers are needed to ship assets to those customers. This requirement will be set aside for 8(a) Small Business's. The government owns all the technical data to support this contract. There are no relevant technology or market changes which would impact a follow-on contract. Previous Contract was awarded to a 8(a) company. 4. Performance Requirements: All performance requirements will be listed in the Specifications and Drawing Packages for all containers and components. There is no commercial application for these containers. These containers are all build to print comprised of readily available materials.
