Description

THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. A SUBSEQUENT SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT MAY FOLLOW. RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED AS AN ADEQUATE RESPONSE TO ANY FUTURE ANNOUNCEMENT. The Department of Veterans Affairs Dayton VA Medical Center, Dayton, Ohio 45428 anticipates award of an indefinite quantity FIRM FIXED PRICE contract. The intent of this contract is to obtain a qualified contractor to perform safety and service inspections on 250 (of various manufacturers') ceiling lift systems throughout the Dayton VA Medical Center. Inspections will be conducted in strict accordance with ISO 10535 and manufacturer requirements. Contractor will be responsible for all applicable testing and verification of general and specific requirements as detailed in ISO 10535. Contractor is responsible for all necessary equipment, material, labor, and travel costs in order to deliver the requirements stated herein, except as otherwise specified in this statement of work. Scheduling will be arranged with the COTR, and other Safety, Patient Administrative Service, Nursing, or other service personnel may at times be delegated to assist the contractor in locating rooms. Contractors do not need to be supervised by VA employees at all times but do need to check in with the designated person onsite at the beginning of each work day. COTR will designate the person to check in with at each facility THIS "PRE-SOLICITATION ANNOUCEMENT" SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS OR OFFERS. A FORMAL SOLICITATION WILL FOLLOW THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IN THE COMING DAYS.
