DUE: February 28, 2014 SET ASIDE: N/A NAICS: 532120 POP STATE: NEW YORK PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: NY Harbor Healthcare System - Manhattan Campus, 423 East 23rd Street New York, NY 10010 AGENCY: Veteran's Health Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs NOTICE TYPE: SOURCES SOUGHT Synopsis: Please note that this is NOT a request for quotes or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Department of Veterans Affairs, NY Harbor Healthcare System - Manhattan Campus is currently conducting a market survey for qualified firms capable of providing "a self-contained Mobile Central Sterile Processing Unit for the VA NYHHS Hospital. Contractor shall deliver, install and set-up the unit. Contractor shall train identified VA NYHHS Engineering and Sterile Processing personnel in the use of the unit and equipment. Upon unit delivery, contractor will manage onsite installation of the mobile unit, i.e., utilities, data, necessary construction and other considerations as needed. Contractor will work with 3rd party construction contractor to install/connect unit to facility should any construction be necessary. At the end of the rental period, contractor shall decommission and remove the unit from VA NYHHS campus. Delivery of unit is necessary to made within 30 days should a contract be awarded. It is anticipated that the unit will be needed to remain on site from 1 to 3 years." Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing (via E-mail) referencing the requirement & RFI # and must be received not later than February 28, 2014 at 12:00PM EST. Email: lawrence.unger@va.gov. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. Interested parties MUST provide company/individual name, a capability statement, examples of same or similar work performed at other facilities, DUNS number, address, point of contact and social-economic status verification. To be eligible for consideration, offerors will have been engaged in offering this type of lease for a period of no less than two years and be capable of presenting certification of such with verifiable references. Interested parties who do not submit the above information on or before the response due date and time will not be considered for this procurement. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification/socioeconomic status (service-disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, women owned small business, HUB Zone, 8(a), small business or large business). Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced on Federal Business opportunities website (http://www.fbo.gov) at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement.
