SPECIAL NOTICE ON SOURCES SOUGHT This special note on sources sought announcement posted 2/19/2014 is to add NAICS 811213 Communication Equipment Repair and Maintenance, Size Standard $10.0M to the below requirements. Please add NAICS 811213 as a relative code for this project. ***SEEKING SOURCES ONLY*** THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. This is a Sources Sought notice issued for the sole purpose of conducting market research IAW FAR Part 10, to determine the availability of potential sources having skills, capabilities and experience necessary to perform/provide the specified requirement. The Government is not obligated to, and will not, pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this synopsis. Your responses to this sources sought will be treated as information only. The results of the market research will be used to determine the best overall acquisition strategy. This is not a solicitation announcement. Provide only the requested information below. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified, experienced sources and their size classification Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB/VOSB), Small business, relative to NAICS 238210 Low Voltage Electrical Work, with experience in the Installation of a Nurses Call System. Include the DUNS number of your firm. State whether your firm is registered in SAM (System for Award Management) database, information on registration requirements can be obtained on the Internet at (http://sam.gov). SDVOSB/VOSB must be CVE verified and visible in VIP (VAAR 8041102), VetBiz Registry at http://vip.vetbiz.gov/. If not, please NOTE: any future solicitation could only be awarded to a contractor who is registered in SAM and to receive award based on VOSB or SDVOSB status you must be registered (CVE verified and visible) in the VetBiz Registry. After review of the responses to this sources sought notice, a solicitation may be published on the www.fbo.gov website. Responses to this sources sought notice are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this sources sought notice. SPECIFIED RERQUIREMENT: VAMC Birmingham, located 700 South 19th Street, Birmingham, AL 35233, is seeking sources for a potential contract to install a nurse call system. Work will require a complete replacement of the facility's nurse call system. The replacement system shall include but not limited to all equipment, materials, labor, documentation, and services necessary to furnish and install a complete, operational Voice over IP-based Nurse Call System. The vendor must keep all currently installed systems operational until newly installed system is 100% operational and staff is trained. This will include patients Station sand auxiliary buttons for each bed, work flow stations for each patient room, and Staff stations throughout the facility, and full integration with existing wireless phone systems. All of the infrastructure, workstations, and programming necessary for this functionality will also be included in this procurement.
