MODIFICATION NOTICE: THE SOLICITATION FOR THIS REQUIREMENT WAS POSTED TO NECO AND FBO ON 20 FEBRUARY 2014. ------------------------------------------------- THE FOLLOWING SYNOPSIS WAS ORIGINALLY POSTED UNDER SOLICITATION NUMBER N00189-13-R-Z092 IN FEDERAL BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES (FBO) (WWW.FBO.GOV) ON AUGUST 1, 2013 AND LATER MODIFIED ON SEPTEMBER 6, 2013. THE SOLICITATION FOR THE REQUIREMENT OUTLINED BELOW WILL BE POSTED TO NECO AND FBO UNDER SOLICITATION N00189-14-R-Z027. SOLICITATION NUMBER N00189-14-R-Z027 REPLACES SOLICITATION NUMBER N00189-13-R-Z092. The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office intends to solicit and negotiate a Firm Fixed Price contract. This requirement will be solicited as a 100% Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside, under the authority of FAR 19.14 "Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Procurement Program". Under the resultant contract, the contractor will provide technical and financial analysis of operational and installation energy efforts, among other requirements, to assist the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy (DASN) Energy in meeting two of the five broad-ranging energy goals announced by the Secretary of the Navy in October 2009. The two goals are: (1) Increase Alternative Energy Use DON-wide: By 2020, 50% of total Department of Navy energy consumption will come from alternative sources and (2) Sail the Great Green Fleet: Department of Navy will demonstrate a Green Strike Group in operations by 2012 and sail it by 2016. It is anticipated that the contract will contain a base period of performance of twelve months with two twelve month options. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541690 "Other Scientific and Technical Consulting Services".
