- Address: The project areas are located within the boundaries of the Palomar Ranger District, Cleveland National Forest., Location 1. Palomar Fuel Break System, Cottonwood Fuel Break Elevation of 3600 feet to 5000 feet of elevation Township 9 South, Range 1 East Sections 13, 24 and 25 and Township 9 South, Range 2 East, Section 13. Access is by 8S07 (High Point Truck Trail), Palomar Fuel break System on the Palomar Ranger District. There are two water sources nearby. The first is the Lone Pine Spring and 10,000 tank with a 2 ½” stand pipe, the second is the Sourdough Spring and 44,000 gallon tank with 1 ½” stand pipe. There are some slope and variable aspects. Shrub types include Chamise, Ceanothus, sagebrush, scrub oak and others. Shrub height is generally less than 2-3 feet. There are also seasonal grasses., United States
