- This announcement provides Amendment 0001 to SIR DTFAWA-14-R-00004, Common Support Services “ Weather (CSS-Wx). It also provides formal Government responses to questions submitted about the original solicitation. The scope of work of the CSS-Wx procurement consists of the design of the CSS-Wx System in accordance with Attachment J-01, CSS-Wx System Specification Document, the selection and procurement of hardware, the development of system and client software, integration, testing, deployment, help desk and operational support, and maintenance of the system hardware and software. The scope of work also includes the acquisition, implementation, and integration of a NOAAPORT receiver system output into the CSS-Wx System. Lastly, the scope of work includes additional engineering services as required by the Government. The base period of performance ends September 30, 2018 with four, one-year option periods. The contract will be awarded on a competitive basis. The FAA intends to award a single contract resulting from this Screening Information Request (SIR). SIR Number DTFAWA-14-R-00004 is available for download from the FAA-hosted FTP server discussed below. The minimum experience qualifications in Section L are mandatory. Amendment 0001issued to this solicitation is published at http://faaco.faa.gov/index.cfm under the current announcements for the FAA Headquarters. It is the Offerors' responsibility to visit this website frequently for updates on this procurement. If an amendment is issued and the Offeror does not acknowledge it, the Offeror may be considered nonresponsive to the solicitation. All amendments must be acknowledged. The FAA will not be liable for any costs associated with the preparation of responses to the SIR, nor reimburse or otherwise pay any costs incurred by any party responding to this announcement. Access to SIR Documentation and Prototype Software: All CSS-Wx SIR documentation and prototype software (executables, binaries, and libraries) are available for download from the FAA hosted FTP server. Request for access to this server can be made electronically at the following URL: http://wx.tc.faa.gov/csswx_sir_request/ Upon successful submission of user information, the following information will be provided: FTP Server IP address FTP Server login username FTP Server login password Use of most commercial and freeware FTP Client software is supported.
