Description
SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT: The NCO 12, Great Lakes Acquisition Center, 115 S. 84th Street, Suite 10, Milwaukee, WI 53214, is conducting market research to identify potential sources for Inpatient and Outpatient Apheresis Services at the Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital, Hines, IL and the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, 820 South Damen Avenue, Chicago, IL. This announcement is issued for informational planning purposes only and is not a request for proposal or announcement of a solicitation. As stipulated in FAR 15.201, responses to this announcement are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. No solicitation exists; therefore do not request a copy of the solicitation. The decision to solicit for a contract shall be solely be at the discretion of the Government. The Purpose of this market research is to identify qualified (1) Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB); (2) Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB); (3) Small or emerging small business firms; or (4) Large business firms capable of providing the following Apheresis Services: 1)The Contractor shall perform on-site routine and emergency therapeutic apheresis services seven days per week, 24 hours per day, including Federal holidays. 2)The Contractor shall provide an adequate number of qualified, competent clinical personnel, i.e. registered nurses, to render the routine on-site scheduled and emergency apheresis services during work hours. 3)The Contractor shall provide a regional manager, with administrative responsibilities that are related to the provision of services that include, but not limited to, supervising personnel, and ensuring that an adequate number of qualified, competent personnel are provided and available to perform apheresis services in a timely and professional manner. 4)The Contractor shall provide portable apheresis equipment for use on VA patients. It is the responsibility of the contractor to maintain the equipment in proper operational order according the manufacturer's recommendations and in compliance with applicable safety regulations. 5)The Contractor shall provide all supplies except replacement fluids (albumin or plasma) specifically related to the provision of the apheresis services including special lines used to perform a specified treatment by the ordering physician. All interested firms who can meet the requirements stated above should respond, in writing, with information describing their interest, capabilities, experience and indicate which business category (SDVOSB, VOSB, Small Business, or Large Business) for which they qualify to the Contract Specialist, Erica Powers at Erica.powers@va.gov no later than 12:30PM Central Standard Time (CST), 07 March 2014. Apheresis Services for the Hines VAH and Jesse Brown VAMC should be referenced on all correspondence regarding this announcement. TELEPHONIC INQUIRES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. The North American Classification System (NACIS) Code associated with this announcement is 621492 with aSmall Business Size Standard of $35.5.M. Interested parties are reminded that in accordance with FAR 4.12, prospective Contractors shall complete electronic annual representation and certification in conjunction with FAR 4.11, requiring registration in the Systems for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a contract. The Government will use responses to this notice to make an appropriate acquisition decision. This is the only notice, no other copies of this notice will be provided.
