Description

PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE SOLICITATION # VA69D-14-B-0395 Contractor shall provide construction services for Project Number 578-369, to Renovate the Joliet Community Based Outpatient Clinic, Phase II Construction, New Lenox Illinois, in accordance with the solicitation documents. This contracted work includes construction services for all facets of work and trades necessary to facilitate award of a construction contract in order to Renovate the Joliet Community Based Outpatient Clinic, located on the first floor of Building 08 at the old Silver Cross hospital in New Lenox, Illinois. Project encompasses renovation of additional clinic space in Building 08. Work will include the renovation of approximately 20,000 sq. feet of existing, unoccupied space on the first floor. The renovated space will be used for: Exam Rooms, Offices, Waiting Rooms, Reception areas, Conference Rooms, Break Rooms, and Toilet facilities. The support spaces will include, but are not limited to utility systems such as: Steam and Water Piping, Ducts and VAVs, Electrical (Normal and Critical Systems), Data/Voice, Life and Fire Safety, and all other systems outlined in the bid package. There will be ONE pre-bid conference/site walk-through held for this project and all prospective bidders are highly encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-bid conference will be included in the solicitation package when it is posted. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006, Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is 100% Set-Aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) firms. The SDVOSB firm must be verified in http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov, to be eligible for award. Firms must also have current registrations with the System Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov and Vets 100 at http://www.dol.gov/vets/vets-100.html The solicitation will be issued on/about 10 March 2014 with the bid opening on/about 09 April 2014. Dissemination of the solicitation will be limited to electronic medium. All interested Bidders (primes & subcontractors) should register at www.fedbizopps.gov so that others will know of your interest in participating in this procurement. Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at www.fedbizopps.gov. By registering to "Receive Notification", you will be notified by e-mail of any new amendments that have been issued and posted. Bidders are reminded that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to this solicitation prior to the time for receipt of offers. All requests for information are to be submitted electronically to the Contract Specialist at mark.graveline@va.gov. Subject line of e-mail should read: VA69D-14-B-0395 Renovate Joliet Outpatient Clinic, Phase II. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. The project magnitude range is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 236220 small business size standard of $33.5 million applies. Award is subject to the availability of funds
