- MARKET SURVEY This is a Sources Sought announcement, a market survey to be used for informational and planning purposes only. The intent of this Sources Sought is to identify potential qualified businesses and information received will not be disclosed outside of the agency. This is not a solicitation for proposals and no contract will be awarded as a result of this announcement. Naval Facilities Engineering Command Far East, Facilities Engineering and Acquisition Division (FEAD), Public Works Department Yokosuka, is seeking sources with current relevant qualifications, experience, personnel, and capability to perform a firm-fixed price construction contract for the renovation of the Maternity Ward (3AOB) at U.S. Naval Hospital, Yokosuka, Japan. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The estimated cost is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Interested sources are invited to respond to this Sources Sought announcement by using the form, provided under separate file, entitled "Market Survey Questionnaire". All data received in response to this Source Sought Notice marked or designated as corporate or proprietary information will be fully protected from release outside the Government. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. This notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose other than market research. No telephone calls will be accepted requesting a bid package or solicitation. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. In order to protect the procurement integrity of any future procurement, if any, that may arise from this announcement, information regarding the technical point of contact will not be given and no appointments for presentations will be made. Please respond to this Sources Sought announcement by 3:00 p.m. (PST) on 02 March 2014. You may e-mail your response to the attention of Ms. Scheherezade Roundtree, at scheherezade.roundtr@fe.navy.mil.
