Description

Redacted Sole Source Justification Rebuild ABB 550PM Interrupters Proposal Disallowed Reason: THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all interest and capability statements must be received by the Government no later than 7 Mar 2014, at 12:00 PM PDST to be considered. The U.S. Department of Energy, Western Area Power Administration (WAPA), Sierra-Nevada Regional Office (SNR), intends to award a sole-source contract for Circuit Breaker Interrupter Rebuild to ABB Inc. Authority for other than full and open competition is 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The resulting procurement will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 12. This is a vendor specific requirement to provide support to the Western Area Power Administrations Olinda Substation. The resulting contract will be fixed price. Only ABB has the unique, proprietary knowledge of our systems needed by WAPA. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all interest and capability statements must be received by the Government no later than 7 Mar 2014, at 12:00 PM PDST to be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 335313; Size Standard is 750 Employees. Due to time consideration an award shall be made NLT 2/28/2014.
