- This pre-solicitation notice is issued by the Railroad Retirement Board (RRB) to notify potential interested offerors that the RRB will be posting a Request for Proposal (RFP) to provide the RRB headquarters facility and its 53 field offices with a monthly rental of a mailing equipment solution, including insert/sealing machines with advanced features, digital mailing machine with postage meters or other alternatives that are capable of producing large, medium, and small mail volumes. In addition, the potential contractor shall provide commercial postage payment services, allowing the RRB to allot postage funds for payments to the U.S. Postal Service and third party mail houses. The RRB anticipates posting of the RFP by March 14th, 2014. The RRB will offer to interested offerors the opportunity to attend a site visit at the RRB headquarters and the details of the site visit will be included in the RFP. The RRB anticipates awarding a contract for the services in May, with a complete phase-in of the solutions to be completed by June 30th, 2014.
