- Description
- The U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service has a requirement for water well replacement (Visitor Center/Maintenance Shop) at the Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge located in Middletown (Newport Co.), Rhode Island. The work under this project consists on furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment required to perform construction of new 6 inch diameter steel cased water supply well including drilling, developing and testing. The work also includes installation of new submersible well pump, pressure tank, pipelines, and electrical items necessary to connect new well to Visitor Center/Maintenance Building. This contract opportunity is set aside for small business. The estimated magnitude of construction for this project is between $25,000. and $100,000. The NAICS code is 237110. The small business size standard is 33.5 million. Registration is required at the System for Award Manangement (SAM online at www.sam.gov). Lack of registration in the SAM database will make an offeror ineligible for award. All other eligible and responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. A Request for Proposal (RFP) including technical specifications, drawings, and evaluation criteria will be released through www.fbo.gov and www.fedconnect.net on or about March 11, 2014. No hard copies of the solicitation will be sent out by this office. Proposals are expected to be due on April 11, 2014. The period of performance is 30 calendar days from issuance of Notice to Proceed. The anticipated contract type will be fixed price. Award will be made based upon the Best Value to the Government in accordance with FAR Part 15 and the terms in the solicitation.
