- Description
- The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, National Conservation Training Center (NCTC) has a requirement for campus HVAC revisions. The NCTC is a campus setting with multiple buildings. This project consists of work in three (3) of the buildings: Support Services, Commons, and Instructional East. The project in Support Services requires the installation of a new ductless split system - cooling only, modifications to existing ductwork, adding some motor operated dampers and related piping, electrical and control work. The project in Commons requires the relocation of an exhaust fan from the first floor to the attic (mezzanine). Work at the Commons includes: cutting a hole through a concrete composite deck, demolition of ductwork and removal of exhaust fan (EF-C-10), new ductwork, new fire damper, cutting and modifying existing metal siding, flashing, new wall louver, relocation of exhaust fan (EF-C-10), relocation of controls and control wiring, construction of a drywall chase, tile work, finishes, and related electrical and miscellaneous finish work. Work at Instructional East includes installing new shut-off valves on 4' hot water supply and return piping; to include the removal and re-insulation of the pipes. Invitations For Bids (IFB) No: F14PS00278 will be available on or about March 13, 2014. The anticipated bid due date is April 14, 2014. The anticipated award date is April 21, 2014. The procedures to be used in awarding the contract will be in accordance with FAR Subpart 14.4-Opening of Bids and Award of Contract. Period of performance shall be 90 days. Contractor will be required to make maximum use of products containing recovered materials that are EPA-designated items. Contractor will be required to ensure that energy-consuming products are energy efficient products (i.e., ENERGY STAR products or FEMP-designated products). Contractor will be required to comply with the applicable requirements of Sections 608 and 609 of the Clean Air Act (42 U.S.C. 7671g and 7671h) as each or both apply to this contract. Contractor will be required to provide all information needed by the Federal facility to comply with the provisions of the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act of 1986 (EPCRA) (42 U.S.C. 11001-11050), and the Pollution Prevention Act of 1990 (PPA) (42 U.S.C. 13101-13109). The magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. A pre-bid meeting and site visit is anticipated for March 20, 2014 and advanced reservations are required.
