- NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk “ Philadelphia Office intends to acquire on a sole source basis, under the authority of 10 USC 2304(1), only one responsible source, as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, with Comedy is the Cure, Inc for the acquisition of services in support of VCNO initiatives for reducing substance abuse/misuse and creating awareness via creative methods. The contractor is to provide a speaker to conduct education events at NADAP Summits and other venues. The speaker will use a comedic styling of presenting substance abuse awareness information to Navy leadership and their sailors at various CONUS Navy commands. The Government anticipates award of a firm fixed price purchase order and this acquisition will be conducted in accordance with the provisions stated in FAR Part 13 (Simplified Acquisition Procedures). This notice of intent is not a request for quotes “ however, the Government will consider information received by the specified response date. Information received as a result of this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement based on responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government, and will not pay for information submitted in response to this notice.
