- This is a solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation VA251-14-Q-0188 is issued as a request for quotes (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-12. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number is 611699 and the business size standard is $10 Million. This is a small business set-aside. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the contracting officer. HEALING TOUCH TRAINING: Aleda E Lutz VA Medical Center is looking for a trainer(s) to come to our site (1500 Weiss Street, Saginaw, MI) to train 22 clinical employees on Level I Healing Touch Program techniques; 25 clinical employees on Level II Healing Touch Program techniques; and 25 employees on Level III Healing Touch Program techniques - by the end of the training, our goal is to have 25 clinical employees trained on all 3 levels of the Healing Touch Program. We currently have 3 employees that have already completed Level I of the Healing Touch Program. 25 total employees is a goal and may not be conclusive - there may be less employees taking part in the training. Of the 25 employees, there may be 2 Social Workers (non-clinical). PAYMENT FOR SERVICES: Payment is to be made in arrears by certified invoice. All invoices must be submitted to the OB10 System. Failure to provide purchase order number on the invoice may result in the return of the invoice. Offers shall be submitted to Kellie Theisen, Contract Specialist, at Kellie.Theisen@va.gov by no later than Monday, March 3, 2014 at 5:00 pm, EST.
