Description

The VA Office of Research and Development, Providence VA Medical Center, Research Department intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Jarzombek Research Inc. pursuant to FAR 6.302-1; for continuation of research services under VA approved DEKA Arms project on advanced upper limb prosthesis. The proposed contract award will be for Research Assistant services at the Center for the Intrepid (CFI) at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. This will be a follow on contract to a previously awarded sole source contract for these services. The proposed contractor is trained in DEKA specific procedures, has authorized VA and DoD computer access and clearances, is familiar with DEKA study protocols, is trained in specific study equipment, and is trained to complete the study-specific neuropsychological battery. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however; any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than Friday, March 7, 2014, (3:00PM, EST). Interest/capability statements may be sent to Travis Gibbons at travis.gibbons@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
