Description
AN/UMQ-13 MARK IV-B Industry Day and One-on-Ones I. Description: The MARK IV-B is a meteorological data ingest, processing and dissemination system. Meteorological data is ingested from U.S. domestic and foreign meteorological satellites, both polar orbiting and geostationary. Once processed by the MARK IV-B, this data is made available to analysts and forecasters located worldwide. MARK IV-B users include all branches of the military, university researchers and the scientific community. The MARK IV-B system is installed in eight operational locations worldwide. Operating sites are currently located at: Hickam AFB, Hawaii; Andersen AB, Guam; Kadena AB, Japan; Ali Al Salem AB, Kuwait; Kapaun AB, Germany; Soto Cano AB, Honduras; Lajes Field, Azores; and Elmendorf AFB, Alaska. Purpose: The Space and Missile Systems Center is pleased to announce an Industry Day and One-on-Ones to discuss the MARK IV-B Program. Date: Industry Day and One-on-Ones - 2 April 2014, 0900 start, Bldg 2025, Peterson AFB, CO. III. Submission Instructions: All Activities The table located in Appendix A must be completed and submitted to the Government as a MS Word document attachment via email no later than 1700 MST on 27 March 2014. You will receive an email acknowledging your submission. If you do not receive an email back within one business day, please resubmit your submission. The requested information is required for anyone attending Industry Day in person and/or One-on-Ones. If the information is not provided, access will not be granted to the building. One-On-Ones The Government requests that if teaming arrangements are contemplated, contractors attend the One-on-Ones as a team instead of as individual businesses. This meeting is intended to provide clarification on the requirements of the program as described in the Sources Sought and answer initial questions Industry may have for the Government. The One-on-Ones will be held in 30 minute sessions during the afternoon of 2 April 2014, commencing immediately after the briefing. These One-on-Ones will utilize face-to-face meetings as well as conference call if necessary. The Government is limiting the number of attendees to twelve, with a maximum number attending in person (face-to-face) to six. A single point of contact is requested for scheduling the One-on-One meetings with the Government. Provide the company name, point of contact, telephone number, and email address to the Government point of contact via email no later than 27 March 2014. The Government representative will contact you to arrange a time and date. IV. Submission Artifacts: Potential offerors contemplating attending the MARK IV-B Industry Day and One-on-Ones are to provide 1) a single point of contact for the purposes of scheduling One-on-Ones and 2) a completed Industry Day and One-on-Ones Attendee Information worksheet as shown in Appendix A. Provide both of these to the government representative listed below via email by the dates listed in Section III. V.
