Description

Solicitation Number: VA797P-14-R-0001 Pre-Solicitation Notice: The National Acquisition Center intends to enter into a sole-source contract with Takeda Pharmaceuticals for the procurement of Colcrys (patented) product used for the prophylaxis of gout flares and the treatment of Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF). This action is to contract for the identified drug which is currently sourced from a non-designated Trades Agreement Act (TAA) country. The product is available from only one source, Takeda Pharmaceuticals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals as Colcrys is protected by patent. It is anticipated a contract will be awarded for a base plus four one year options. All inquiries and concerns must be addressed in writing to the email address stated herein, Attn: Youlanda.Duggar@va.gov. The Government anticipates an award date on or before April 28, 2014.
