Description
The purpose of this amendment is to provide answers to submitted Contractors' questions. Q: Can all of this fuel be dropped off at 1 time? Is there a need for multiple trips? A: Yes, all of the fuel can be delivered at one time as long as the tanker truck making the delivery doesn't exceed the length of ~30' in order to maneuver around the facility. The facility does not have the access to accommodate larger tanker trucks. Q: Are the tanks above or in ground? A: The tanks are in the ground. Q: If above ground, is someone going to be there to climb up on the equipment or will that responsibility fall upon the fueler? A: The tanks are in the ground. The Contractor shall be responsible for all items regarding the delivery of the fuel, to include but not limited to, hooking/unhooking of pipes, maneuvering of tanker truck, etc. If awarded, a local point of contact will be given in order to coordinate the date(s) and time(s) for delivery of the fuel. The local Government POC will only be there to ensure the delivery of the fuel. Q: Many fuel suppliers have complained that the person who gave the quantities to the contracting office really estimated the amount and frequently the fuel companies come to deliver 2000 gallons only to fill 200 gallons and there is a need to return over and over. Since you stated that this is a one time trip, I'm assuming that these quantities are solid figures making the fuelers job much easier. A: The stated quantities are what is required and are not estimated. The Contractor shall deliver the listed amount of fuel for each tank as per the list provided in the solicitation. NOTE: The Contractor may deliver the fuel in one trip or in multiple trips. The number of trips it takes to deliver the stated quantity is to be determined by the Contractor. The Contractor shall deliver the fuel within the number of days stated in the solicitation.
