Description
Statement of Work This is a Sources Sought notice. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition. Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. The UNITEDSTATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE, Agricultural Research Service, Western Business Services Center is seeking sources for furnishing labor, supervision, material tools, equipment, transportation, etc., necessary to construct a 76' x 200' pre-engineered metal building with concrete foundation, stem wall, floor, concrete slats, electrical service, and sewer in the swine area at the UNITEDSTATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE, Agricultural Research Service, Northern Plains Area, Roman L. Hruska U.S. Meat Animal Research Center, in Clay Center, Nebraska. Magnitude of the project would be between $500,000 and $750,000. Payment and Performance Bonds would be required on this project. This notice is issued to determine if there are interested and qualified Service Disabled Veteran- Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Hubzone Small Business, Small Disadvantage Businesses (8(a)), and Small Businesses (SB). U SDA requires the use of biobased products to the extent that such products are reasonably available, meet agency or relevant industry performance standards, and are reasonably priced. Where available, these products should first be acquired from among qualified products that fall under the umbrella of items designated through the USDA BioPreferred SM Program. Interested contractors must submit a capability statement describing their company's experience and ability to perform this effort that includes the following: (1) a summary list of similar work previously performed; (2) the professional qualifications and specific experience of staff who may be assigned to the requirement; (3) resumes for proposed key personnel that reflect education, and previous work relevant to the proposed requirement; (4) demonstrated ability to carry out the requirement; (5) a copy of the firms existing Systems for Award Management entity record as registered on the www.sams.gov website. Contractors must submit their information via email to Contracting Specialist, Trent Stevens, at Trent.Stevens@ars.usda.gov by no later than 4:30pm EST Monday, March 17, 2014.
