Description
DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS DESIRES TO LEASE SPACE The Overton Brooks Veterans Affairs Medical Center (OBVAMC), located at 510 East Stoner Avenue Shreveport, LA has a lease that will expire on September 30, 2014. The Government intends to award a Sole-Source Contract to Oil and ALE, LLC. The award will be to lease sufficient rentable square footages to yield a range of 8,500 to 8,531 net usable square feet to operate a Compensation and Pension office in Shreveport, LA. The parking area must accommodate 100 designated spaces with at least 2 handicaps accessible. The Compensation and Pension clinic will provide services to Veterans that have filed claims for conditions believed to have occurred or been aggravated by military service. The C&P clinic examine service members that are in the Integrated Disability Evaluation System (IDES) program to determine if they are medically fit for duty. C&P service pre-discharges service members that apply for separation, retirement, or release from active duty or demobilization. The Lease property must be on a bus line with a bus stop. The Lease term will be up to ten (10) years consisting of a five (5) year Firm Term and five (5) year Non-Firm Term. The estimated lease effective date is October 1, 2014. Delineated area of consideration in Shreveport, LA will be within five miles of the OBVAMC. The Government is interested in considering alternative space if economically advantageous. The Government will consider the cost of moving, alterations, etc., when deciding whether it should relocate. If you have any questions concerning this advertisement, please contact Vincent E.
