Description

This is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY to provide a relationship based care model for Nursing Services at the VISN 11 VA Medical Centers in Ann Arbor, MI; Battle Creek, MI; Detroit, MI; Saginaw, MI; Fort Wayne and Marion, IN; Indianapolis, IN; and Danville, IL. DO NOT SUBMIT A PROPOSAL in response to this request for information. The objective of this requirement is to implement a professional nursing practice model of care that provides a comprehensive framework and care delivery system that focuses on three key relationships: ourselves as caregivers, fellow colleagues, and compassionate therapeutic relationships with Veterans and their significant others. Such a nursing practice model of care will provide a collaborative foundation and care delivery system based on caring sciences that establishes holistic Veteran-centered care. Essential to the nursing practice model is the integration of Shared Governance structure and evidence based practice. The nursing practice model will improve the quality of care and satisfaction of Veterans seeking care and that of those who provide care. The Nurse Executives of VISN 11 VA Medical Centers are striving to improve patient care outcomes, patient satisfaction, patient education as well as employee morale and satisfaction throughout Nursing Services and programs that involve nursing staff. The services requested are required to assist the facilities in implementing evidence based professional nursing practice and a supportive care delivery model that is in alignment with VHA's strategic goals. This training will assist the facilities in implementing evidence based professional nursing practice and a supportive care delivery model that is in alignment with VHA's strategic goals. It will assist nursing leaders in successfully transforming the nursing practice culture and achieving the Veterans Centered Care principles. The Government requests that interested contractors provide a capability statement. Interested parties may submit a capability statement, no more than one (1) page, for your company (name, mailing and email address), Dunn and Bradstreet number, any subcontractors and also denote the business size of your company under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 611430 Professional and Management Development Training. Also, indicate if your company or subcontractors are Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), or Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB). Responses to this RFI are requested to be submitted not later than 12:00 NOON EST on March 14, 2014, via email to Brenda.Johnson3@va.gov.
