Description

MARKET RESEARCH-- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION. NO SOLICITATION EXISTS. This advertisement serves to aid in determining market interest and capabilities for this prospective requirement. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE for Market Research purposes ONLY. This information will be used to determine the availability of vendors capable of meeting the Government ™s minimum requirements and the availability of small businesses capable of providing this requirement. Potential sources must identify their business type (i.e., small business, large business, small disadvantaged business, 8(a) certified business, woman-owned business, etc). The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville (FLCJ) is conducting a market survey to determine the availability of vendors capable of providing all labor, supervision, facilities, equipment, tools, and any other items and materials necessary to launder, pickup, and return Government furnished garments such as coveralls, scrubs tops, scrubs bottoms, jackets, shorts, shirts, lab coats, welding jackets and fabric blast capes, that meet the attached Performance Work Statement, Government Furnish Property and Stops and Location. This requirement is to support of the Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE), Jacksonville, FL. The Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE) and the Fleet Readiness Center Mid-Atlantic (FRCMA)are industrial facilities that rework,repair, and overhaul various aircraft, engines, and components. As a result of working in industrial facilities, FRCSE and FRCMA personel outer garments are often soiled or contaminated with heavy metals such as lead, cadmium, and hexavalent chromium, and other chemicals such as grease, fuel, and oil. FRCSE and FRCMA do not have the necessary resoruces to launder these garments and require contractor support to accomplish this task. It is anticipated that any resulting solicitation will be for a firm-fixed-price (FFP) Requirements contract, with a NAICS code of 812332 and size standard of 35.5 Million Dollars. For further details, please see the attachments. Vendors interested in responding to this sources sought synopsis shall provide a capabilities statement that addresses the following: The Capabilities statement shall demonstrate and understanding of the requirements by describing in detail, their approach and plan to perform and manage the work specifically required by the performance work statement (PWS). Specifically, the Capabilities statement should address the company's ability to pick-up, launder organizational clothing that may be soiled or contaminated with heavy metals such as lead, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, and other chemicals such as grease, fuel, and oil and provide delivery on a weekly basis. The Capabilities statement shall also include a cover page containing the company ™s name, address, CAGE code, Duns number, years in business, affiliate information, parent company, joint venture partners, NAICS, business size/socio-economic status, government business point-of-contact name, phone number, and e-mail address. Additionally, the interested party shall provide a list of all current GSA/VA scheduled contracts (if applicable). The Capabilities statement provided in response to this Sources Sought Notice is NOT to be considered a response to Request for Proposal (RFP) or Request for Quote (RFQ) in that no RFP/RFQ exists at this time. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responses will not restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach or be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not pay for the information requested herein. Evaluation results will not be provided to contractors responding to this synopsis. No phone calls will be accepted. Responses shall be in writing and sent by email to Felicia Williams, felicia.n.williams@navy.mil. Responses shall be submitted no later than 10 A.M. Eastern Time on MARCH 17, 2014. NOTE: THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY AND SHOULD NOT BE CONSIDERED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. NO REIMBURESEMNT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING A RESPONSE TO THIS REQUEST. ANY INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY RESPONDENTS TO THIS TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION IS STRICTLY VOLUNTARY.
