- PROJECT LOCATION: U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, Region 3, Jordan River National Fish Hatchery, Antrim County, Michigan ESTIMATED MAGNITUDE: The magnitude of this requirement in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. SITE VISIT: Offerors are urged and expected to inspect the site where the work will be performed. Site visit details can be found in clause 52.236-27. SOCIOECONOMIC PROGRAMS: This procurement is set-aside exclusively for small business concerns. For information purposes, the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, with a size standard of $33.5 million. A Bid Opening will occur on April 7, 2014 at 1500 CT local time. The Solicitation Package includes the following: Clauses, Notice to Offerors, Specifications, Drawings, Pre-Con Safety Checklist, Itemized Bid Schedule, Prevailing Wage Determination, and Bid Bond Form. PROJECT CONSISTS OF: A pre-engineered metal building will be constructed on a site occupied by existing fish hatchery raceways and other improvements. The work includes: demolition of an existing building and selective demolition of existing facilities; earthwork and grading; concrete foundations and structural piers; erection of a pre-engineered metal building (approx. 137' x 344') with standing seam metal roof; pre-cast concrete stem walls; a poured interior retaining wall with stairwell and railings; walk, roll-up, and overhead doors; electrical systems and lighting; and relocation of buried utilities as needed. Furthermore, the work also includes related safety systems and all appurtenant work to provide complete installations, conformity to or modification of existing substrates and services, testing, de-bugging, documentation of performance, and training of government personnel.
