Sources Sought for Solicitation VA69D-14-R-0666 IDIQ for Fire Protection Design/Engineering Services in VISN-12 This publication is a formal Sources Sought action seeking qualification statements from vendors interested in providing specialized Fire Protection Design/Engineering Professional Services within VISN-12 of the Department of Veterans Affairs. Below is a listing of the seven (7) medical centers (and related outpatient clinics) covered under this network: A.) Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain, Michigan; B.) VA Medical Center in Tomah, Wisconsin; C.) William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin; D.) Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; E.) Capt. James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago, Illinois; F.) Edwards Hines Jr. VA Hospital in Hines, Illinois; G.) Jesse Brown VA Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois; H.) Multiple Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) affiliated with the above noted medical centers. This solicitation is small-business set-aside assigned to NAICS Code 922160 Fire Protection; qualified vendors must be capable of providing specialized fire protection design/engineering professional services in accordance with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) design guidelines, specifications and national safety codes. Special consideration shall be provided for CVE-Verified Veteran-Owned and Service-Disabled-Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. Area of consideration is restricted to a 300 mile driving radius of the following VISN-12 Office: VA Great Lakes Health Care System / Network Office (10N12) Four Westbrook Corporate Tower 11301 W. Cermak Road, Suite 810 Westchester, IL 60154. Task Orders will be issued for individual projects. The contract will be issued for a base period of one (1) year with four (4) additional one (1) year options. Individual work orders shall not exceed $200,000 or be less than $2,000. Total fees paid under the resultant contract shall not exceed $1,499,999 including the option year(s). A formal FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov) solicitation will be posted on, or about, April 1, 2014; proposals will be due thirty (30) calendar days after the solicitation has been posted. No full bid package will be issued for this request; rather, it will be a procurement to collect SF-330s from vendors, followed by interviews with a minimum of two qualified vendors. A formal Request for Proposal will be requested from the highest ranked qualified vendor based on information collected from the SF-330 and interview procedures.
