- The Corps of Engineers, Portland District is conducting market research for potential dredging contractor capability and equipment information. Please provide any or all of the following information listed: Company information including Business Size, Contact Information, Website, etc. For hopper dredge contractors, please provide: vessel names, vessel length, vessel width, vessel draft, main engine size, dredge engine size, type of engine (tier), hopper capacity, horse power, placement depth, pump-ashore capability, any major upcoming overhauls or repowers, a copy of the US Coast Guard Certificate of Inspection, any restrictions on mobilization or work on the West Coast, and maximum dredging depth. For pipeline dredge contractors, please provide information on owned equipment: vessel names, size of dredge (diameter), horsepower, amount, size, and type of pipe, booster pumps, design pumping curve table, pumping distances without a booster assuming working in sand, upland and shore equipment, walking of the dredge (spuds or anchors), if the dredge is seagoing and can dredge in open water, minimum and maximum dredging depth, and draft. Additional information on available booster pumps to support a 30 quote mark pipeline dredge is requested. For mechanical dredge contractors, please provide the following information on owned equipment: vessel names, footprint of dredge, bucket sizes, scow sizes including both footprint and capacity, type of scows (flat deck, bottom dump), load line certification of the scows, draft of scows, both light or full, and maximum dredging depth. Special Information is requested on Submersible Dredge Pump (Toyo) availability, please include pump horsepower and discharge pipe diameter. For all interested in participating in a drag beam trial, please include detailed information on past work performed utilizing a drag beam/ bottom profiler. This information is intended to be used as market research. Dredging contractors can submit the information to Mr. Robert Fuchs at Robert.K.Fuchs@usace.army.mil. The Dredging Contracts team is always willing to meet with potential dredging contractors to discuss equipment capability.
