Description
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City, Florida is soliciting proposals, on the basis of full and open competition, to provide the following commercial items for award against a firm-fixed price (FFP) type contract: One (1) Contract Line item (CLIN) for a First Article ship set; One (1) Base CLIN for a quantity of Ten (10) ship sets; Five (5) Option CLIN(s) of Ten (10) ship sets each and One (1) Option CLIN of Twelve (12) ship sets Each ship set is comprised of two (2) Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) craft master cabin seats and four (4) LCAC load master cabin seats. The seats procured under this effort must meet the requirements of the specifications, in all respects, cited in the solicitation. In addition, the seats must not degrade the survivability of the platform and must reduce the logistic footprint of the new seats on the LCAC. The eventual contract will be awarded on the basis of the lowest priced technically acceptable offer. A technically acceptable offer is defined as the offered product that meets all the solicitation requirements. Delivery shall be FOB Destination to the Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD), Receiving Officer, 110 Vernon Avenue, Panama City FL 32407-7001. Anticipated release of the solicitation is 28 April 2014. An industry day is anticipated around 10 April 2014. Industry parties interested in attending the industry day should review and comply with the special notice, associated with this synopsis, anticipated for posting within the next 10 calendar days. An award date is anticipated on or about 08 August 2014. All prices will be evaluated at the time of award. The Department of Defense will no longer award contracts to contractors not registered in the Central Contract Registration database. Registration may be accomplished by accessing the CCR website at www.sam.gov.
