Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital in Hines, IL, has a requirement for mobile Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) unit, equipped with the Siemens MAGNETOM Espree 1.5T system. The Contractor shall furnish a fully equipped Siemens 1.5T Open Bore MAGNETOM Espree MRI System in an approximately 12' x 50' x 13' trailer. Estimated start date is May 9, 2014. The VA will issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) that will result in a fixed price contract. A base of nine (9) months, with two (2) 3-month option periods is anticipated. VA intends to solicit as a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business set aside. This is a pre-solicitation notice posted in accordance with FAR Subpart 5.2. This is not a sources sought notice. No phone calls will be accepted; communication shall be via email only. Inquiries/information received after the established deadline shall not be considered. The Government does not intend to pay for information solicited. This synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR Subpart 5.2.
