Description
This is a 8(a) Sole Source contract to provide and secure all A/E design efforts, labor, approved materials, tools, construction, mobilization, transportation, supervision and equipment to accomplish all renovation work as described herein and in the contract drawings in order to accommodate the replacement of fire pumps and associated equipments at NRL in Buildings A3, A30, A59, A60, A207, A209, A210, A215, & A216. The scope of work in each building involves: 1. Remove existing fire pump, jockey pump, wiring and associated controllers. 2. Provide and test new equipment of equivalent capacities, including fire pump, jockey pump, wiring, and associated controllers. 3. Re-configure existing fire protection piping to accommodate the new fire and jockey pumps. Provide and install new Pipe, Fittings, Wiring, Valves and all other Necessary Appurtenances. New pipes, fitting, and valves shall be approved by UL (Underwriters Laboratories) and the fire marshal. 4. Tie in new pump controller with existing building alarm system. 5. Document any existing components outside the immediate work area (within 25 feet of the fire pump) found to be defective and notify the owner on their conditions and any cost associated with their repair/replacement. 6. Provide FPE on site for factory commissioning of new pumps and controller.
