- The Network Contract Office 23, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, intends to issue a sole source contract to Dornier MedTech America Inc., for the provision of the following corrective and preventive maintenance services for the Dornier Opus II Urology System which is required to support the urology system located at the VA Central Iowa Health Care System, 3600 30th Street, Des Moines, Iowa 50310. The Extended Warranty Maintenance for the Dornier Opus II Urology System includes; (1) Replacement parts and selected consumables, less glassware, (2) Unlimited Service Calls, (3) Regular Service Hours, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, (4) Two (2) Preventive Maintenance Calls per year, (5) 24-Hour Customer Service, Technical Support & Logistics, and (6) Glassware Option 1 - $0 Deductible. It is the Government's intent to establish a contract to include a one-year base period, with the option for an additional four (4) one-year periods. The Government believes that Dornier MedTech America Inc., is the only provider of this service that will satisfy agency requirements. This is a sole source procurement under FAR Parts 12 and 13, Other Than Full and Open Competition (FAR 6.302-1). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes however; any firm that believes it can meet the stated requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer, NCO 23 Sioux Falls, SD, by emailing john.becker3@va.gov within seven (7) days from the date of publication of this synopsis. NAICS: 811219. The provider of maintenance services in support of the Dornier Opus II system must have the ability to provide the following services: 1. Telephone support 24 hours, 7 day per week with customer service and technical support; the call center will provide technical support and troubleshooting prior to initiating field dispatches; unlimited service calls; minor software updates; two (2) annual maintenance visits to determine needs of the individual unit and will include necessary adjustments and replacement of parts; visits to include parts as needed to maintain OEM specifications; FE local phone support; VPN National Port Access; parts and labor included. Maintenance must be performed only by manufacturer authorized technicians to maintain manufactures equipment warranty.
