Description
Solicitation body. The USDA Forest Service has a project that will consist of the installation of ADA compliant auto opening door. See Section C of this solicitation for Scope of Work statements. Place of Performance: US Forest Service Timber & Watershed Lab, Route 219 North, Parsons, WV 26287 The estimated magnitude of this project is less than $10,000. 100% Small Business. All necessary materials, equipment, labor, transportation, and supervision required for completion of this work shall be supplied by the contractor. A pre-proposal site visit can be scheduled before bid submission. Contact Patrick Meyer @ 304-478-8692 for location and to register for meeting. 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items. (FEB 2012) OFFERORS MUST BE REGISTERED IN THE SYSTEM FOR AWARD MANAGEMENT (SAM)) DATABASE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR AWARD. (See FAR 52.204-7) USDA BioPreferred Program. The 2002 and 2008 Farm Bills established a biobased markets program to increase the purchase and use of biobased products. USDA, the lead agency for this part of the Farm Bill, refers to the program as BioPreferred® program. This contract requires the use of biobased and sustainable products. See Section H, page 12 of this solicitation. SITE VISIT (FAR 52.237-1) (APRIL 1984) Offerors or quoters are urged and expected to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award. Interested parties desiring to inspect the work area are asked to make an appointment with Patrick Meyer @ telephone (304) 478-8692 the US Forest Service Timber & Watershed Lab, Route 219 North, Parsons, WV 26287. It is important that contractors call before visiting since Patrick is not always available. Quotes Due: April 4, 2014.
