- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. **Please disregard the attached RFQ as it is irrelevant for the combined/synopsis solicitation** (1) 2014-Q-16413 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). (2) A statement that the solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-72. (3) The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 721110 and the size standard is $6,000,000 for this requirement. This requirement is unrestricted, allowing both large and small business to submit quotes. (4) ITEM SUPPLIES / SERVICES QTY / UNIT 0001 Lodging rooms for incoming EIS Officers 320 each 2014 during the EIS Conference, Matching and Placement Event in accordance with the Performance Work Statement. This is Fixed Price Line Item. This is a Non-Severable Line Item. (5) Description of requirements for the items to be acquired. Successful offeror will be able to meets the following requirements during the specified Conference dates: • Can fulfill meeting and sleeping room space and is a reasonable distance from all CDC campuses, thus reducing the local travel expenses. • Meets the CDC/OHS mandate to use non-smoking facilities. • Availability to accommodate plenary session for 1800 people. (6) Dates of Conference: 04/28/204 - 05/01/2014 Period of Performance: 04/25/2014 - 05/05/2014 (7) Provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, applies to this acquisition. (8) Quotes will be evaluated in accordance with FAR Part 13.106-2 Evaluation of Offers. (9) Offerors are advised to include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with their offer. (10) The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. (11) The clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. (12) Guarantee for Meeting Space: Once proposed and accepted, the hotel will guarantee that this meeting space will not be leased to another group during the dates held for EIS. If this were to happen, the hotel would rebate a percentage of the guest room costs to the Master Bill. The percentage deducted from the Master will match the percentage of the square footage of the space removed from the block to the original block. Group must be notified in writing of any such change no less than 30 days in advance of the conference. Space released to another group may not exceed 10% of the total space blocked and other acceptable space must be found to replace it. (13) Quotations will be due fifteen (15) calendar days from the publication date of this synopsis or March 25, 2014, by 12:00p.m. Eastern Standard Time, whichever is later.
