- The Southern Regional Contracting Office, Fort Hood, Texas intends to award a Firm Fixed-Priced, sole source, medical maintenance contract to Draeger Medical Inc. on or before 1 April 2014, for services on the Draeger Evita Infinity Ventilator under the authority of 13.106-1(b), Soliciting from a Single Source. Services include, but are not limited to, the provision of all trained, experienced and certified personnel, labor, tools, software, diagnostic equipment, materials, parts and equipment (excluding expendable items), supplies, transportation and services to perform repair support for eleven (11) Draeger Medical Evita Infinity Ventilators at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center (CRDAMC), Fort Hood, Texas. CRDAMC is a vital component of the installation's Total Customer Satisfaction Objective and proper working order of the Draeger Evita Infinity Ventilators supports that objective. The period of performance for these services is a six (6) month base with four (4) 12 month option periods. The purpose of this service contract is to perform medical maintenance on these critical ventilators. A Sources Sought Notice was posted on the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) Acquisition Business Web Site from 6 March 2014 until 17 March 2014. One email was received in response to the notice. These maintenance services are required to prevent the equipment from malfunctioning or delivering incorrect performance. Any type of malfunction or equipment failure would have an immediate negative impact on current health care operations and current health care services for our soldiers, civilians, and beneficiaries. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 811219 with a small business size standard of $19.0 Million. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency before the intended award date. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action is based upon negative responses to the request for Sources Sought Notice on ASFI and is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested sources who submit data are responsible for appropriately marking information if it is proprietary in nature. The Government shall not reimburse interested sources for any information provided. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice and any information provided will not be used as part of any subsequent solicitation requirement. All responses shall be sent via electronic e-mail to the POC, Clarence 'Craig' Cude at clarence.c.cude.civ@mail.mil. Telephonic inquiries will not be honored.
