- THIS IS A SYNOPSIS NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation, request for quote, or proposal and no contract will be awarded from this notice. There is no solicitation, specifications or drawings available at this time. Military Sealift Command Norfolk intends to issue an unrestricted solicitation on/about April 5, 2014 for the Post Shakedown Availability/Dry Dock (PSA/DD) on the USNS NAVAJO (T-ATF 139) commencing on or about August 15, 2014 for an estimated period of 45 days. Work is to be performed at the Contractor's facility on or about the above mentioned date. Area of consideration is the West Coast, USA and Guam. After issuance, the solicitation may be obtained thru Federal Business Opportunity (FBO) website and/or the MSC 1102 Website https://procurement.msc.navy.mil. Major work items (WI) include: Dry Dock, Hull and Prop Cleaning Generator Set Installation (3 Diesel Generators; remove old Detroit Diesel Generators and replace with Caterpillar Generators) Fuel and Lube Oil Tank Cleaning and Reconfiguring (including side shell access and re-weld) The appropriate NAICS Code is 336611 with a size standard of 1,000. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE OR PROPOSAL. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this synopsis. There are NO RESPONSES due based on this pre-solicitation notice.
