THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. In preparation for a future procurement, the VA Medical Center in Buffalo, NY is performing market research to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (service disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, hub zone, 8(a), small disadvantage business, woman-owned, small business, or large business) relative to NAICS 325413 (size standard 500 employees) that can offer an analyzer, reagents, and service and maintenance as a cost-per-test agreement for Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Testing. The basic characteristics of the necessary analyzer are as follows: "Testing shall be molecular in nature and fully automated "System must detect all high-risk HPV carcinogenic types including HPV 16 and 18 "Testing for all strains of HPV must be accomplished in a single test run. No reflexing. "Test results must be available in less than 6 hours "Samples are currently collected using the Hologic ThinPrep sampling supplies and reagents. System must be able to use samples collected using these consumables Interested companies should submit an electronic statement outlining their company's capability and capacity to provide the product, the specifications of the therapy units, and the delivery time to deliver the product to Buffalo, NY. Also, firms should provide their business size status in accordance with the small business administration guidelines (www.sba.gov) for the NAICS code they fall within. This Sources sought is for informational purposes and all businesses able to provide these supplies are encouraged to submit information regardless of Business size. Please email statements of capabilities to Marc Amorese no later than Tuesday, April 1st at 04:00PM Eastern time to Marc.Amorese@va.gov. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses to any future solicitation announcements.
