- Description
- The Washington Headquarters Service (WHS), Acquisition Directorate (AD), on behalf of the Undersecretary of Defense (Acquisition, Technology and Logistics) (USD(AT&L)) Modeling and Simulation Coordination Office (M&SCO), intends to award a contract to provide highly specialized technical support services. The services include providing M&SCO with technical expertise in modeling, simulation, and related strategic initiatives to improve the state of the practice within the DoD in accordance with the M&SCO mission and providing technical expertise in support of the application of modeling and simulation and coordination of JCIDS related activities in support of the Systems Engineering priorities. This acquisition will be conducted on an unrestricted basis. The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP), HQ0034-14-R-0049, under FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. The anticipated date of release of the solicitation will be on or about 9 April 2014. It is anticipated that the contract will be awarded as a Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) contract. It is anticipated that the resulting contract will consist of one 12-month base period and four 12-month option periods. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541690 - Other Scientific and Technical Consulting Services with a size standard of $14M. Offerors are required to have a current registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for contract award. Offerors may register in SAM at http://www.sam.gov.
