- Description
- The Department of Energy ? Idaho Operations Office (DOE-ID) and Office of Nuclear Energy (DOE-NE), Idaho Falls, ID, intends to award a sole source contract to a small business, Dr. Richard W. Worst MD, West 526 Shoup Ave, Twin Falls, Idaho 83301. Doctor Worst will be providing professional services as a licensed psychiatrist or a licensed clinical psychologist to perform psychiatric testing and evaluation of the personnel working at the Idaho National Laboratory. The Doctor?s services will be on an on-call basis to determine an individual?s eligibility to possess or maintain a security clearance. The resulting contract will be a time-and-materials contract. The DOE-ID procurement services office intends to award a purchase order in accordance with FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and providing justification for sole source in accordance with Subpart 13.106-1(b) (Soliciting from a single source for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold). The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and award to only one source. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, any interested firm that believes it can meet the requirements may provide written notification prior to the response due date. Responses are required to be submitted via email. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in preparation of quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any responses to this notice of contract action shall be submitted via email to Mr. Mark Payne or to Mr. Wade Hillebrant, no later than 5:00 PM Mountain Time on Tuesday, April 8th, 2014.
